When I first started Gumnut Trails, I dreamt about helping families get happier, healthier and more connected with nature-filled adventures. (Including my own).
I also dreamt about building a business that would be able to give back and help conserve our local environment for generations to come.
That’s why I made the decision to donate to local projects for every Adventure Guide sold.
Two years on - I'm absolutely delighted to share our very first donation project!
It's colourful, it's creative, it encourages exploration, and it showcases a kaleidoscope of butterflies and moths that call this special place home.
Ready to explore? Read on for a trail map and preview of what you will find.
Help us spread the word about Gumnut Trails so we can donate to more projects!
xx Christina
Can you spot the mosaic on the trail?
The donation project - a treasure trail of 8 native moths and butterflies on the Merri Creek.
Late last year Gumnut Trails donated a trail of mosaic artwork to the Friends of the Merri Creek and the local community.
This project was a year in the making and involved collaboration with Merri-Bek Council, Friends of the Merri Creek and the very talented local mosaic artist Kyra Smith. It was wonderful to work with such a great group of people! The project encourages exploration and awareness of the native creatures that live along Merri Creek.
