These books are wonderful- excellent quality, each adventure, side quest , prompts are carefully thought out and easy to follow . I've sent these to neices and nephews they are excited to explore the great outdoors ( would love to see the series expand to other states - great for holidays or defence families that move frequently)
I purchased this for my grandkids for Xmas as an activity gift. My daughter ad son in law have gone through the set and are so excited to have exciting day trips to do with the girls over the school holidays.

My 4 year old grandson and I did the Darebin Parklands adventure the other week.
We both loved it and Cossie was able to find the things identified on the map quite well, including the little wood bird box!

We had such a great time exploring with our Adventure Guides - we loved it all! We bought one close to home and another one further out for day trips. We love exploring in nature and having fun together as a family.
I gave the Melbourne Bundle (4 guides) to my son as a gift for his five-year-old daughter, who just loves exploring the outdoors. He was really impressed with the adventures, ideas, illustrations, and how they were set up.
One of the trails in the South Guide is a place I used to take my son when he was little, so he could really relate to the adventures and ideas. it made it even more special for him to now share with his daughter.

I really love everything about these Guides. The quality of the cards, the way the suggested activities are put together, the fun facts for kids. It helped us to slow down and really enjoy the adventures.
We just explored a trail in the West and it was such a great experience (even with the 36 degree day).
I could hear cicadas in the trees and haven't heard that sound since I was a young child. I told my kids how when I was in kindergarten, I used to find the cicada exoskeleton on the trees. And guess what?! The first tree we went up to, we found one! My kids were so excited to see its exoskeleton in perfect form attached to the tree.
One comment - I think a printed map even for an extra cost would be amazing (in addition to the one on the QR code). This would add another element of interest to the kids also. Because so many kids aren't taught map skills anymore.

This is my second order of Adventure Guides to use with my 5 year old - I love how it lets my child enjoy time outdoors in nature more. As well as the maps on the QR codes, it would also be great to see a printable map for kids to use in the future (a suggestion).
We have the Melbourne's West Adventure Guide. We've been to 2 of the parks now and used the guides, my son (7) has enjoyed having his own little guide with pictures and activity ideas. They're really visually engaging, lovely quality and easy to carry. It's really nice that my son can read them and carry them and be in charge of the adventures! They are giving us an extra incentive to get out and explore some parks we might not otherwise as my son is keen to get to all 5 parks :).
These are a game changer for our weekend family outings. Highly recommended to anyone! My 5 year old loves going on Gumnut Adventures. Customer service is amazing too!
I took my family on our first gumnut trail adventure this weekend and it went SO well. My kids loved every minute of it and it was really fun and relaxing for the adults too. 100% recommend!

The Adventure Guides are an absolute delight, full of surprising locations all across Melbourne. My whole family has loved exploring new places, and our daughter was so excited to go out on the adventure, she didn't even notice the playground near the start (phew). We all had a great time - can't wait to do more.
