3 hours 7 km return bike ride

Head inland along the Elwood Canal (or Elster Creek Canal) away from the beach.

You will see the pavement stories, murals, street galleries and more along this lovely canal. It’s an easy ride by bike or scooter, with lots of bridges and fun stops along the way!

Follow the canal all the way to the new chain of ponds (Yalukit Willam Reserve) to explore the stepping stones and 10 ponds.

Allow up to an hour to slowly ride the canal, and extra time to stop, explore and complete the activities.

TRAIL UPDATES:
The 2 painted murals (turtle head and yellow bird) are now hiding behind tall bushes - so keen eyes are needed!'

Can you find me?

What am I? Stepping Stones!

Who's hiding in the Tree Hollows?

Eagle eyes peeled for holes and nest boxes on the trail.

Look for critter clues - scratches on tree trunks, eaten leaves, animals' footprints and even poo (scats)!

How many nest boxes did you spot? Was anyone home today? What animal traces did you see?
